Privacy policy

Bowcare holds health notes about people you love. Here is exactly what we keep, who can see it, and how to remove it — in plain words.

What we store

Your account: name and email address, and a password if you did not sign in with Google or Apple.
What you enter: the people you care for, their visits, questions, notes, medicines, checklists, bills and insurance details.
Recordings you make: the audio file and the written transcript, saved in your account's private storage.
Your settings: text size, language, and the layout you chose for your dashboard.

To show you your own records on any device you sign in on.
To share a record with the caregivers or family you invite, and with nobody else.
To remind you before a visit, if you turn reminders on.
We do not sell your information, we do not advertise, and we do not use third-party analytics or tracking.

You, on the devices where you sign in.
People you invite: a caregiver who signs in with their own account, or someone you send a view-only link to. You can turn either off at any time, and view-only links expire after 30 days.
Nobody else. Every record is locked to its owner and the people they have shared it with, enforced on the server, not just in the app.

Hosting and database: our cloud backend, which stores your data encrypted at rest, in transit over HTTPS.
Speech-to-text: when you ask for a transcript, that recording is sent to a transcription provider, processed, and returned. It is not used to train models and is not shared for advertising.
Translation: when you tap to translate a note, that text is sent to a translation service and returned.
These providers process data on our instructions only. They are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Until you delete it. Deleting a visit, medicine, bill or recording removes it immediately.
Deleting your account removes your profile, every person you own, all of their records, and every recording in storage. This is permanent and cannot be undone.
Demo and sandbox accounts are removed automatically.

Delete your account in the app: Setup, then Your account, then Delete my account.
Ask for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct it, by writing to privacy@bowcare.care.
Turn recording, sharing and reminders off at any time. None of them are required to use Bowcare.

Bowcare is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Bowcare is a personal record-keeping tool. It does not give medical advice, does not diagnose, and does not replace anything your doctor, nurse or pharmacist tells you. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
